A right relationship is imperative in regard to one's view of life and one's disposition toward others.  We live in a world that is drawing further and further away from a right relationship with its Creator; bringing one's final destiny in question.

There is a withdrawal rather than ingathering towards the real value in life one should seek after  (Ecclesiastes 12:13).  America, and other once godly nations, are in a dire need of another Great Awakening; as in times past, to refresh the inner desire for a closer walk with the life-giver!

The apostle Paul in attempting to awaken one to acknowledgement of the one and only true God said:  "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, is the giver of life and breath and all things" (Acts 17:24-25).

The apostle Paul was introducing his audience to God; the Creator of the Universe, in an attempt to divert them from worshiping false gods.  He stated:  "Forasmuch as we are the offspring of God, we ought not think that the Godhead is like gold, or silver, or stone, shaped by art and man's devising" (Acts 17:29).

When I was in the U. S. Navy I spent lots of time overseas and personally witnessed the worship of false gods and now dedicated the people were in their worship.  The apostle Paul spoke out against this in saying:  "The times of this ignorance God overlooked; but now commands all men everything to repent" (Acts 17:30).

We are living in devious times when many, in America and other once godly nations, are forsaking the very Word of God and seeking to walk in their own desired ways (Romans 10:3).  America is flourishing in ungodliness; in a Sodom and Gomorrah setting, which is condemned in God's Word (2 Peter 2:6) and also as the city of Babylon spoken of in the Book of Revelations (Revelation 18:2-8).

The Book of Jude touched on the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah who had given themselves over to sexual immorality, and going after strange flesh, to be set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire (Jude 1:7).

God's Word exposes and condemns sin ridden lifestyles (Romans 1:18)and attempts to restore man to godliness and a right relationship with Him.  Only a godly relationship will offset judgment from on High as revealed in 2 Chronicles 7:14:

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Those who have been weaned into the diversity of the present hour may be more receptive towards the culture of today.  Those of the old stamp; now considered outdated and obsolete, recognize the sinful condition of man that is becoming acceptable.

As this new generation comes into existence, and its leadership, it fosters the concept of acceptability and tolerance for all manner of evil that is condemned in God's Word.  There may be a brief forbearance through godly leadership in America; by what about afterward?

Unless there is another Great Awakening; could it not revert back to its former ungodly way, under renewed leadership?  Let us pray for a continuation; rather than demise of godly leadership.  Let us pray that the youth of the land will be instilled with proper teaching that lines up with God's Word.  Let us pray that the churches of America will bear the fruit of holiness; and be nourished in righteousness.

Scripture admonishes the believer to present their bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And be not conformed to this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove that is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:1-2).

The Christian life begins with a total commitment.  The body that had been an instrument of sin is now presented as a channel through which the righteousness of God is manifested.  A right relationship with God involves living in strict adherence to His Word; being led by His Spirit, and having a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ (1 John 1:7-9).
