The Docile Church
A Docile Church is one which is easily shaped or formed such as metal which is so docile that it will submit to any conception a sculptor may have. Scripture encourages one to remember them that have rule over you (or lead you), who have spoken to you the Word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end (or outcome) of their conversation (or conduct). Be not carried about with various and strange doctrines (or teachings)(Hebrews 13:7-9).
I am seeing deception play into focus concerning the Docile Church which is willing to allow almost anything to play into focus without standing fast to God's Unadulterated (that which is not mingled or diluted) Word of God. We are living in a time when there are self-appeasing doctrines floating about with little effort to remove those teachings, they tickle the ear and are easy to abide by, with little evidence of a separation to God, but one will at the same time boldly proclaim themselves to be a Christian.
Is The Serpent Still Doing His Destructive Work?
The same serpent that was doing his destructive work in the Garden of Eden is amongst us today. Scripture records that one to be be sober, and vigilant; because your adversary the devil (the Book of Revelations refers to him as that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan) walks about, seeking whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8). Just as Eve succumbered to his words of deception, the Docile Church is being deceived today as well.
The church has entered into a time that it is now receiving the previously unacceptable. It has allowed its previous convictions to be outweighed by a period of enhancement to the ways of the world. Now that it has tasted of the fruit of appeasement its eyes have been opened to both good and evil. Many are avoiding the truth of God's Word and are walking in their own destructive ways seeking the appeasement of the flesh rather than walking uprightly before the Lord. They have become deceived and are rejecting the way of truth.
Who Is One Being Formed By?
When a baby comes from its mother's womb it is from the beginning shaped or formed by the instructive nature of its parents, and others who are near enough to be an influence, whether it be good or bad as is the church.
God's Word is full of golden nuggets of truth that will guide and direct one's life to the fullness of God's Word. One does not need to be deceived into believing that just any old way will do, after salvation is imparted, but that one is to walk uprightly before the Lord according to His Word. There is a change that takes place in one's life from the moment of conception, as a new convert and believer in Christ, just as that of a new born baby in its growing process, for its parents are by its side to love, protect, and guide as is our heavenly Father, His Spirit, and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ ready to assist us in our walk in Him.
Being Guided by God's Unadulterated Word
One does not have to be a part of a Docile Church that is shaped or formed by the ways of the world to appease the flesh rather than God. Throughout the Word of God is an admonishment for one to walk uprightly before the Lord in all one's ways. I pray that you will carefully examine God's Word and walk according to its precepts and not according to man's persuasion. Search out God's Word for yourself and walk accordingly.
