EditorialHourglass of UncertaintyAn editorial is often based on expressed opinions. We are living in a time when there are many expressed opinions on any given subject. For one to be objective in their editorial it would necessiate being uninfluenced by emotion, surmise, or personal prejudicies which far surpass by own ability since I am very much opinioned on certain issues based on the holy scriptures, the leading of God's Spirit, and my own observations. I strive, through the help of the Lord, to bring a new, and fresh, editorial as given through the inspiration of God's Spirit. An editorial can be as the birth of a baby, eagerly awaited by the parents, when conceived in a timely manner. Hourglass of UncertaintyWe are seeing uncertainty reign as the sand of the hourglass slowly withdraws to the other end. This country is allowing a few to be the ruling class rather than the voice of the people to be persuasive. It is as if a fast consuming machine is gobbling up any opposition in order to establish desired goals. Socialism is on the horizon and speedily becoming a reality in a nation that has thrived on capitalism.Opposition not a FactorOpposition is as a harassing fly that maybe persistent in its determination but is soon swatted away. We are even seeing opposition being offered concessions to sell their birthright so to speak and accepting them. It seems as if nothing can stop the machinery that has been set in motion to accomplish its intended purpose. Public sentiment is not weighed into the picture but ignored.What Goal is VisualizedAs a new path is created for this nation that goes far beyond human reasoning what is the goal that is being sought? Why is the very core of this nation's previous existence being vastly changed? Why has godly leadership not been sought in the midst of a mindset that is is opposition to what this great nation was founded upon? What goal can be called worthy to oust all else?Far Beyond ComprehensionI see unacceptable change taking place not only in our government but our churches as well that is far beyond comprehension. Other nations have experienced this change and history dedicates that it was not for the betterment of mankind. Scripture reveals of a day that the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. For one well versed in God's Word comprehension can take place.Signs of the TimeScripture tells us: That upon the earth shall be distress of nations, with perplexity, men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things that are coming on the earth. But when these things come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads for your redemption draws near. Those who are believers are blessed as the Word of God takes them through these trying and difficult times. But a day will come when the ungodly will attempt to supress not only those in opposition to their policies but that of the Gospel as well.
