A Look into the FutureA look into the Future is the climatic finish to a beginning. Our Lord revealed in the Book of Revelations: I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty (1:8), write the things that you have seen, and the things that are, and the thing that shall take place thereafter (1:18-19). It is a glorious moment as God's Word gives us a look into the future in revealing that the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we always be with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Christians will be caught up to meet Christ in the clouds, instantaneously receiving glorified bodies. All those who died "in Christ" will be resurrected; then those who are alive and saved at that time will be caught up with Christ. The saved of the earth can take comfort in these words of assurance in accordance with God's Word. The Need to be ReadyOur Lord spoke of one's need to be ready in saying: but of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come. Therefore be ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes (Matthew 24:36-44).One holds their future in having Christ in the center of their life. He is indeed Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. The day of one's conception into His kingdom entails a glorious beginning and ending, if one holds to the truth of His Word. A Look into the Future of AmericaIf one could look into the future of America what would they see? Would it be judgment or deliverance from the darkness that has invaded the land through deception of the truth? Will the truth that has been distorted once again shine forth to dispel the darkness? We are seeing the world seemingly spinning out of control as events foretold transpire, but in the midst of it all we are seeing God's hand being extended towards those who are enlighten by His unadulterated (or pure) Word!
