Reconstruction of a NationReconstruction of a nation is necessary to bring it back to the principles it was founded on. An example was the reorganization and reestablishment of the seceded states in the Union after the American Civil War to make this nation whole and complete. Benjamin Franklin in addressing the Constitutional Convention which was deadlocked in a bitter controversy said: I have lived a long time and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth - that God governs the affairs of men. We have been assured in the Sacred Writings, that "except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it." I therefore beg leave to move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessing be in our deliberations. This nation, its governing body, its leadership, could take lessons from the past in its present day endeavors. There has been a major problem in withdrawing from the sound structure of the initial formation of this great nation. Throughout the history of this nation we have had many proclaim the need for God's handiwork in the affairs of men. When man begins to think He has the ability to set guidelines and principles, without the concurring aid of our heavenly Father, failure looms on the horizon. Sound the AlarmIt is time to sound the alarm to awaken this nation to reach out to the God of its creation. We face a challenge today that is not of a singular sense, for it has faced us many times before. To whom do we turn too in the hour of need? The reconstructing of a nation first begins with God. If it has deviated from His Unadulterated (or pure) Word then a need for return is of utmost importance.God has wonderfully created us, made provision that we might stand. If one will but turn to Him in their hour of need, then His promises are ready to be fulfilled. If one turns away from Him and no longer abides in Him then judgment stands at the door. Let the grace of God, through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, begin the reconstruction of the "One Nation Under God" concept once again!
