RESURRECTION OF THE JUST

Resurrection of the Just pertains to a hope that needs to be instilled in a nation that has diminished in its former belief, to stand for what is morally and biblically right in the sight of God. To resurrect is to bring back to life, a rebirth.

We are living in a time when modest has been tossed aside with very few limitations; a time when the love of money has influenced an appeptite for what is considered the finer things in life, a time when the church no longer has the influence to change lives as it once did. Is it not a time when the Resurrection of the Just needs to be rekindled, a rebirth of the values that this nation use to believe in, the resurrection of a nation?

Filling Positions of Responsiblity

When it comes to voting for public officials some are more concerned with the economy, and the fattening of their revenues, than the morals of the land, and of the individuals they are voting for. Resurrection of the Just necessities looking for the Just to fill positions of responsbility.

Daniel Webster stated that our ancestors established their system of government on morality and religious sentiment. Moral habits, they believed, cannot safely be trusted on any other foundation than religious principle, nor any government be secure which is not supported by moral habits. Whatever makes men good Christians makes them good citizens.

A Spiritual Reawakening

In the Nineteenth Century two great evangelists, Charles Finney and Dwight L. Moody helped bring America back on a spiritual course. Billy Sunday was soon to follow. Who will step up to the plate, as Billy Sunday a great ball player did when God turned him into His messenger, and say what needs to be said? Does church growth, and finances, mean more than changed lives? Has the church become so accustomed to the mold of the world that it no longer desires the strait and narrow way that leads to life?

Who will stand up and speak the Unadulterated (or pure) Word of God? Who is willing to expose sin for what it is? When the church looks like the world, with little difference between the two, what is the motivation for a reversal? Would one be willing to have someone upset their present comfort zone, or current lifestyle?

We live in a time when the mindset of the people is geared towards self-rule, self-will, and self-determination. Self-determination can offset God's purpose while surrender of self can motivate the Just to seek God's will for their life.

A Much Needed Revival

We need to see a revival take place in our land that will restore its people to a right relationship in the Lord! We are seeing a dogmatic determination to offset Christian values in this nation and if it were possible to suppress the spreading of the truth of the Gospel. It will take the hand of God, a outpouring of His Spirit, to break the yoke of bondage that is presently in evidence.

Let us pray for a reinstatement of this nation's commitment to God (a Resurrection of the Just), a continuance strict adherence to God's Word. Just denotes that which is consistant with moral right, upright before God, and righteous. It is not a title that can be claimed by anyone but only those who are committed to live a life in accordance with God's Word. One does not attempt to alter that word to accommodate their own lifestyle or desire. One does not pick and choose the scriptures that appeal to them, and then toss the others aside. One's growth in the Lord is through the Unadulterated (not mingled or diluted) Word of God.
