Sanctification of One's Life

Sanctification of One's Life begins at the moment of conception as a newborn babe in Christ. Scripture reveals that God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through being sanctified and belief of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:13).

The sanctifying process is to separate from the world unto God. It is the progressive transformation of the believer into the image of Christ or the process by which one's life is made holy. It is through the redemptive work of Christ and the work of the indwelling Holy Spirit. It begins at regeneration and is completed when we see Christ.

A Laxity Within The Church

Throughout scriptures a sanctifying process is indicated in the hearts and lives of the believer. Man has capitalized upon a laxity in the church world to feel no need for the sanctifying process and is allowing the world to set its guidelines. With this new found freedom has come an expansion of worldly mannerism.

Scripture tells us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Romans 12:1-2).

The believer should evaluate every decision on the basis of biblical principles. One should not seek approval from another which can be easily obtained in one's favor if so desired, but rather allow the Word of God, and that of His Spirit, to direct and guide our every decision.

Church Leadership

In biblical times the priesthood had to be sanctified, as well as the people, and it is no different today with our leadership in the church of the living God. They are responsible as to what is instilled in God's people and as to the direction the church takes. But this does not deviate personal accountability of each individual to God.

As we are birthed in Christ let us also be birthed in His righteousness. There is a sanctifying process in the life of the believer that filters out the world and imparts Christlike qualities in its place. Allow this process to be a part of one's life for its benefits are unequaled.
