THE UNTOUCHABLES
The untouchables are those who seemingly are beyond reach. They are clueless when it comes to adherence to God's Word. They have forsaken the right way are are gone astray. They have got caught up in the allurements of this world and its entrapment. The pleasures of this world are more rewarding and of greater satisfaction than living a godly life and the strait and narrow road it entails. And then there are the in between, those who have a desire to serve the Lord but not to the full extent required in His Word. They haphazardly seek its influence by picking and choosing what suits their own lifestyle. They seemingly have an erasable Bible, erasing the words that do not suit them, and gleaming from that which does. They attend church when they feel the need or when it's convenient. There is no real commitment in their lives. And then there are the dedicated who cleave to the truths of God's Word and whose lifestyle clearly demonstrates it. They are steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. They are saved, sanctified, and full of God's precious Spirit. They are ready to serve the Lord in whatever capacity that is required of them. They are faithful, dedicated, and full of zeal of the Lord.
Immune to the Word of God
My heart goes out to the "untouchables" who continue in their daily existence without the benefit of salvation, the saving grace of a loving Savior, Jesus Christ. They are immune to the Word of God and shun any attempt to change that direction. Jude tells us to have compassion on them, making a difference: and save with fear, pulling them out of the fire (Jude 1:22-23).There is a devil's Hell to contend with, to the unbelieving in heart, the one who remains an "untouchable," to the bitter end, no matter how many times their heart's door has been knocked on. One may take pleasure in being in the "untouchable" category but if one could have a brief glimpse of the place called Hell they would do everything possible to escape such a destiny.
The Unknown God
The apostle Paul addressed an inscription TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. He told of God who made the world and all things therein. Who gives all life, and breath, and all things; and has made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth. For in him we live, and move, and have our being (Acts 17:23-34).When Paul finished speaking, some mocked, and others said we will hear again of this matter, some joined to him, and believed. Three different categories existed, the "untouchables," the in between who half-heartily believed his message, and those who joined him.
Distress of Nations
Scripture tells us that upon the earth shall be distress of nations, with perplexity, men's hearts failing them from fear, and expectation of those things that are coming on the earth. When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near (Luke 22:25-28).We are seeing these things happening! Now is not the time to be an "Untouchable" but a believer in Christ, to share in a heavenly kingdom with the one who made it all possible, the Lord Jesus Christ, and that of a loving heavenly Father. Do not allow deception to rule your heart but rather that of the Lord Jesus Christ.
