A ungodly society is spreading its poisonous vermin to undermine the godliness of man with an attempt to eliminate the God of all Creation from the annals of time.
Along with this effort is a cultural revolution to gain control over the population to usher in the domination of a godless society. There is a determined effort to withdraw from godly instruction to ungodly domination. There is a flirtation with God's supreme authority and power that will be costly in the end toward those who attempt to do so.
Scripture tells us that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold (or suppress) the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). There is an ongoing effort to tamper with the learning of the youth; to clear their mind of anything that would be in opposition to the cultural revolution being advanced.
Thank God for those who stand in opposition to a ungodly society being dominate in the land; but there are far too few willing to face the giant Goliath (the strength of a ungodly society being dominate), as little David, addressed in the Old Testament!
The apostle Paul, in addressing the Galatians, wrote: You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth (Galatians 5:7)? He was addressing those who once held a profession of faith with a zeal towards the truths of God's Word, but had allowed deceivers, false teachers, to be an influence towards a withdrawal of once held convictions (in the church world today of many Western nations).
The apostle Paul wrote: The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts (traits of a ungodly society), we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world (Titus 2:11-12).
Electronic devices enhances the traits of a ungodly society. Among such venues of promulgation are: The mainstream and social media, the Internet, television, movie industry, as well as other ungodly sources. They promote the concept of ungodly behavior that Paul warned against; the intermixing with worldly lusts, and a withdrawal from God's Word that condemns all ungodliness.
An article in the late 90's stated: If humanity continues to drift morally and socially during the next century, as he did during the present one, we will sink in the abyss of total corruption and despair. What was once considered a criminal offense is now an acceptable life-style. Divorce, once considered a disgrace, is now the norm. Long time marriages are an endangered species. Profanity in the street and scanty dress in public is tolerated.
Today such agenda is stretching, as a rubber band, about to reach its breaking point. Immorality is flaunted openly; ungodly lifestyles once condemned are now proudly proclaimed. A ungodly society is promoting its agenda through positions of authority. There is acceptance taking place that has expanded far beyond what was identified in the previously article!
Scripture reveals: There are certain men crept in unawares (or at first unnoticed), who were before of old (or long ago) ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ (Jude 1:4).
There is a determination by the ungodly to clear one's mind from past godliness; to advance their ungodly agenda. This is part of the cultural revolution to undermine any previous godly influence.
Scripture reveals: Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly (that of a ungodly society), nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he mediate day and night (Psalm 1:1-2).
A Bible commentary noted: One is to avoid evil influences, deeds, and attitudes; for his delight is in God's Word. Blessed, or happy is such a man but the ungodly are not so whose destiny is judgment (unless repentance comes to the forefront).
Scripture reveals: The Lord knows the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish (Psalm 1:6). A ungodly society offers only ungodliness, a sin-filled life, and judgment, but God offers eternal life, and a heavenly home, through acceptance of His Son (the Lord Jesus Christ)!
Scripture reveals: God spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly (a ungodly society). And turned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemning them with an overthrow (or destruction), making them an example to those that after (or afterward) should live ungodly (2 Peter 2:5-6).
Sodom and Gomorrah has risen again; despite the warning in God's Word! We are seeing a ungodly society that bears the traits of those ancient cities. Homosexuality is openly proclaimed with pride; with same sex marriage now ordained by man, in opposition to God's Word. A transgender movement that fails to recognize God's gender identify at birth; now offers a means to alter that gender with modern medical procedures.
Many nations are attributing to the killing of the unborn! A ungodly society sees no wrong in such action; declaring it to be a woman's right. A living viable human being is sucked out of its woman's womb, by a hideous procedure, oftentimes even up until the moment of birth! God will not hold one guiltless of such action; nor the one who has taken part in such a procedure, unless repentance comes to the forefront!
Man is defying God's Word to the hilt by a ungodly society that has lost its compassion towards the sanctity of life. Scripture reveals: How they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts (Jude 1:18).
Such was proclaimed long ago; and is coming to fruition as we witness the advancement of a godless society, that has become uncontrollable, as a flood destroying everything in its path that would attempt to avert its flow!
Scripture reveals the deliverance of just Lot, vexed (or oppressed) with the filthy conversation (or conduct) of the wicked (in Sodom): For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed (or tormented) his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds (2 Peter 2:7-8).
A Sunday school commentary noted: Lot had convictions of a righteous man but he was too weak spiritually to make a clean break from his ungodly surroundings (that of a ungodly society). He chose to live in Sodom, and resisted leaving, even when the doom of the city was at hand.
Has the church, in the Western world, become spiritually weak as that of Lot, being held in captive to worldliness and its influences? Has tolerance and forbearance become more meaningful than sanctification (being set apart unto God), righteousness, and holiness?
Scripture reveals: You which teach another, teach not yourself? You that say a man should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You that abhors idols, do you commit sacrilege? You that make boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonor not God (Romans 1:21-23)?
A cultural revolution is happening in America to make a clean sweep of any previous godly influences, to introduce a new found religion based on a ungodly society? Many once godly nations have deterred from the truth of God's Word; allowing a ungodly society to override its once held godly convictions.
The prophet Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord said: My people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge (the goal of a cultural revolution); and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst (lacking spiritual influence) (Isaiah 5:13).
Scripture reveals: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise (provisions for mankind) as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). This clearly expresses His desire for the salvation of all who will trust in Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). He that believes in him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:17).
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). A wonderful promise that a ungodly society will not being to one's attention. Scripture reveals: He that believes on the Son has everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abides (or remains) on him (John 3:36).
Jesus extends an invitation to all: I stand at the door (the door of one's heart) and knock: If any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup (or dine) with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). If you have ever seen a picture depicting this scene you will notice there is no door knob on the outside of the door; it has to be opened within!
Scripture reveals: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). I have been dining at the Master's table (42 years now); through prayer, His Word, and His Spirit, and it has been a wonderful experience, with joy unspeakable and full of glory! Will you not join me in such a fellowship?
