Demonic influence has engulfed many a nation, with laws and rulings made to accommodate such activity; in lands that were once of a godly nature, revealing a pattern that is hellish, satanic, and unholy; the very definition of the word demonic.
We are entering an era of time mentioned in the pre-Flood days of Noah. Scripture reveals: The earth was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold (taking notice), it was corrupt; for all flesh has corrupted his way upon the earth.
And God said to Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence, through them, and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth (Genesis 6:11-13). God instructed Noah, a righteous man, how to construct an ark of safety. The earth itself would be spared; but its inhabitants and every living thing would be destroyed; except those in the ark.
Scripture reveals: For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:38). As we see demonic influence taking hold it is speedily ushering in the coming of the Lord.
There is an intensity of end times activity that is beyond man's logic to comprehend. There is devastation, chaos, and inhuman atrocities that are of an extreme nature; with insurgence on a daily basis, seemingly with no relief in sight.
In Noah's day, prior to the Flood, they were giving themselves to the pleasures of life, the lusts of the flesh, without concern for the affairs of religion, the worship and glory of God, the welfare of souls, or the approaching danger. They were a wicked and sinful generation until the day that Noah entered into the ark.
The inhabitants were pleasure-oriented, seeking self-gratification; without any thought towards the warnings of Noah (a preacher of righteousness), of the impending judgment, with demonic influence pushing ungodly activity to the hilt!
Scripture reveals: This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly and devilish (of a demonic influence) (James 3:15). It was noted such were destitute of godly influences, attributing towards one's own strength, agreeable to a corrupt nature, as that of a unregenerate (unsaved) individual.
It was of an demonic influence; such as the devil himself promotes, serving only his kingdom and interest. Scripture reveals: And the great dragon as cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world; he is cast out into (to) the earth, and his (fallen) angels were cast out with him (Revelation 12:9).
Scripture reveals: Woe to the inhabitants and of the sea! For the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time (Revelation 12:12). This verse identifies demonic influence causing havoc in the world; continuing to seduce every age and generation beyond the pre-Flood days of Noah, in an attempt to delay his (the devil's) final destination of Hell itself.
Scripture reveals: And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10). The devil and his henchmen, the Antichrist and the False Prophet, are cast into the lake of fire; a literal burning hell; the destiny of all unbelievers.
It was noted that the nature of demonic influence through demons (often referred to as devils in the Scripture); being evil spirits, invisible, having supernatural intelligence, opposed to God, take possession of people bringing on them afflictions such as insanity and suicidal tendencies.
It is further noted that demons abduct human mates and cause madness and disease by gaining possession of their bodies which is substantiated in the Word of God. In Christianity demons are treated as agents of Satan; the devil incarnate, the host of Hell, and powers of darkness.
Demonic influence was noted in the pre-Flood days of Noah (as previously mentioned) in that the inhabitants of the earth were corrupt in their lives and conversations (conduct), doing abominable things, guilty of fornication and adultery, enormous crimes committed openly, without any fear of God, or dread of His wrath.
The earth was filled with violence bringing injury to persons and property, oppression and cruelty, and addicted to unjust actions. It was noted that all men, except Noah and his household, were carnal and unregenerate (unsaved) persons, corrupt in their ways, their manners, their life and conduct was that of uncleanness and wickedness. Is there not a similitude, in this descriptive narrative, to what is being witnessed today?
There was a price to pay for the demonic influence of Noah's day; committed prior to the Flood, as there will be when God deems it so, in our present age: For the killing of the unborn yet in its mother's womb, the continued ungodliness of man, ignoring God's Word, marriage outside the realm of God's provision, homosexuality being proudly displayed, transgenderism being encouraged and promoted, and the list goes on and on.
Scripture reveals a day of reckoning: Whereby the world that then was (in the day of Noah), being overflowed with water perished: The heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against (until) the day of judgment and perdition (destruction) of ungodly men (2 Peter 3:6-7).
Scripture reveals: Nevertheless we (the believers in Christ), according to his promise, look for new heavens, and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness. Wherefore seeing that you look for such things be diligent that you may be found of him (Christ) in peace, without spot, and blameless (2 Peter 3:13-14).
It was noted that the Apostle Peter was urging his readers (us of today as well) to look beyond this present world to the new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness. He then gave a warning: Seeing that you know these things before (beforehand), beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness (2 Peter 3:17).
Scripture reveals that destruction will come swiftly: The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works therein shall be burned up (2 Peter 3:10).
It was noted that the day of the Lord refers to the return of Christ resulting in final judgment of the rebellious in heart. The elements shall melt with fervent heat could refer to a nuclear holocaust, a cosmic happeing, or God's stroke of judgement as in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah.
As we, believers in Christ, see foretold events unfold before our eyes; we need to be prepared for the second coming of Christ! Scripture reveals: Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what matter of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation (conduct) and godliness (2 Peter 3:11).
Demonic influence was noted in Jesus' time. Scripture reveals: And his (Jesus) fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought to him all sick people that were taken with divers (various) diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils (demons), and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy (paralyzed); and he (Jesus) healed them (Matthew 4:23).
It was noted that those possessed with devils (demons) in body and mind, were incurable by the art of medicine; with rarely any relief obtained, outside of Jesus (and later His disciples) divine intervention. Scripture reveals: And he (Jesus) ordained (appointed) twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach. And to have power (authority) to heal sickness, and to cast out devils (demons) (Mark 3:14-15).
Scripture reveals the need to have one's mind so entrenched in the righteousness of God that no room is available for demonic influence. Scripture reveals: When the unclean spirit (demonic influence) is gone out of a man, he walks (goes) through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.
Then he says, I will return to my house from where I came out (his previous residence), and when he is come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits (demons) more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also in to this wicked generation (Matthew 12:43-45).
It was noted that Jesus gave a striking similarity to the precarious spiritual condition of today; a house well swept but unoccupied. Many have allowed spiritual influence to dissipate, leaving godly influences of the past, providing easy access for demonic influence.
