Insurgence of riotous times can be seen in destructive ways that are being entertained by those who have entered into being a companion of such. In relationship to comparisons, warnings, and instructions, God's Word reveals:  Whoso keeps the law is a wise (discerning) son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shames his father (Proverbs 28:7).

He that tuns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination (Proverbs 28:9). When the righteous are (increased) in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked bears rule, the people mourn (groan) (Proverbs 29:2).

It was noted that companion of riotous men refers to one who has indulged in sensual appetites with others, bringing himself at last to disgrace and shame, being perceived as having allowed such to occur.

Insurgence of Riotous Times
Surfacing of Racism

We are seeing a world in which leadership is losing respect and effectiveness.  We are seeing an insurgence of riotous times in the racism that is surfacing; it is as an ingrown toenail that hurts, until dealt with, or a cancer that threatens life unless addressed!

Insurgence of riotous times denotes:  Unrestrained immorality, chaotic times with a struggle that erupts into violence.  Such is happening in many nations after having placed God in the background; rather than in the forefront!

It was noted that we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand that preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these things were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own (Abraham Lincoln).

Evilness of Man

The insurgence of riotous times is released doing chaotic conditions, with the evilness of man coming on the scene, as that of the Pre-flood days of Noah, when God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (all the day). And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart (Genesis 6:5-6).

It was noted the term repented does not imply that God made a mistake in His dealings with men, but rather indicates a change in divine direction resulting from the actions of man.

Fleshly Desires

There is an insurgence of fleshly desires as the morals of the land are pushed aside.  Nudity, foul language, indecent dress, are but a few of the things which are being pushed to the hilt by the ungodly. Modern day technology has made the feeding of fleshly desires readily available; by such devices being taken over by the ungodly, to spew forth filth and degradation that pollutes the land.

Scripture reveals:  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passes away, and the lust thereof; but he that does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:15-17).

It was noted that world signifies the evil desires and sin so much a part of human existence.  Love not the World is a command implying that actions now in process must cease with one's personal loyalty and devotion being to love God first and foremost; walking according to His Word!

Bandwagon of Hatred

Many have jumped on the bandwagon of hatred; rather than love and unity.  Freedom of speech has become brutalized and hateful; far from the original concept envisioned.  The mainstream and social media have helped nourish the insurgence of riotous times; along with individuals who support the ungodly issues of our day.

There are many who receive that which is being promulgated without seeking out the truth.  The door has been opened for untruths to be spewed out with little restraint.  As previously stated, modern day technology; when properly applied, is a good thing but can also be used by the ungodly to spread their agenda, and even encourages the insurgence of riotous times.

Coming Together Not
for the Better

The Apostle Paul, in addressing the church at Corinth, declared:  Now in this that I declare to you I praise you not, that you come together not for the better, but for the worse.  For when you come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it (1 Corinthians 11:17-18).

There was division and a "Coming Together" for the wrong purpose that darkened the reason of the gathering, which in this case concerned the Lord's Supper (Communion) but could be stated for other reasons in our present day setting.

It is a sad state when we cannot see a "Coming Together" towards what is good for a nation; instead of agenda that separates and invites division.  Due to insurgence of riotous times many individuals have chosen to be vindictive in spirit rather than seek to unify for the common good of the country.

Restoring of Peace
and Order

Insurgence of riotous times has preempted God who is the able to restore peace to a willing people.  It will take God to restore order to any nation.  The insurgence of riotous times will continue until the Peace-giver is recognized by man.

Jesus said:  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).  As one watches the news; which is now worldwide through modern day technology, one can readily see turmoil and unrest in the world.  One can also identify with the fact that oftentimes suggested solutions do not include God.

God use to be the solid foundation of many nations; until He began to be edged out by the ungodly (helping to promote the insurgence of riotous times).  Such has not gone unnoticed by God.  Scripture reveals: The Lord looks from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth.  He fashions their hearts alike (individually); he considers all their works (Psalm 33:13-15).

Lifeline in Christ

Insurgence of riotous times is the fulfilling of prophecy.  Jesus revealed a time of men's hearts failing them for (from) fear, and for looking (expectation of) those things which are coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken (Luke 21:26).

When one absorbs the news of the day; it does not paint a pretty picture, only insurgence of riotous times that exist worldwide. However, even in midst of troublesome times, a lifeline has been thrown to those who are perishing.  Scripture reveals: For God sent not his Son (the Lord Jesus Christ) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:17-18).  He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides (remains) on him (John 3:36).
