The moral climate has waned due to secularization; which is an indifference or rejection, or exclusion of religion and religious considerations. There has been a swing towards attempting to offset any religious influence as the ungodly take reign. (Comment)
The prophet Hosea addressed the moral climate of his day: They drink in rebellion; they have committed whoredom continually, the rulers clearly love dishonor (Hosea 4:18). The leadership of the nation had failed.
God had given the nation leaders; with the express purpose of shielding it from sin, but instead there was a spiritual defection. Sin become more powerful and dominating, with the people loving to have it so, rather than living a righteous life before God.
Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them (Ephesians 5:11). There is a tendency today, of the church world in many Western nations, to extend tolerance and acceptance to all, rather than adhere to God's Unadulterated Word.
Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). These statements are very definite; towards the unrepentant in heart, who fail to line up with God's Word.
The moral climate of today is seeing a consumption of ungodliness with no distinction between good and evil; right and wrong, or even a desire towards conformity to moral biblical standards.
There are many once godly nations that have allowed immorality to invade the land without restraint. Scripture reveals that we are to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1). Many are overriding the concept of holiness (Hebrews 12:14), to walk in the ways of the world, because it is appeasing to the flesh and becoming more acceptable.
The prophet Isaiah cried out: Woe to them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe to them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight (Isaiah 5:20-21).
We are seeing a sweeping change in the moral climate of acceptability that prevails in the world today; as failure to promulgate the truth is very much in evidence. There are those who will not adhere to God's Word; nor allow its influence to prevail.
Scripture reveals a time when one will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers; having itching ears they shall turn away from the truth (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Teachers who appeal to itching ears tell people what they want to hear not what they need to hear.
Charles G. Finney of the First Great Awakening proclaimed: If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of justice, the pulpit is responsible for it.
If our politics become so corrupt that the foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it. Let us not ignore this fact; but let us lay it to heart, and awake to our responsibility in respect to the morals of this nation. The moral climate of today is certainly bringing those words to fruition.
We are seeing a heightened increase in the unrighteousness of man as one becomes less attentive to God's Word. The apostle Paul spoke of those who had a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. They being ignorant of God's righteousness were going about to establish their own righteousness, having not submitted to the righteousness of God (Romans 10:2-3).
General Booth of the Salvation Army said: I consider the chief dangers that confront the coming century will be Religion without the Holy Ghost (or that of God's Spirit), Christianity without Christ, Forgiveness without regeneration, Morality without God, and Heaven without Hell. Those who are open to the truth can readily see this being fulfilled.
A small percentage of the population is having rule over the larger majority because the ungodly have infiltrated positions of authority. The moral climate of today has allowed such infiltration to take place. There are many elected, who would never have obtained such a status in previous years, if openly proclaiming ungodly lifestyles that have become acceptable today.
Any nation who allows the influx; rather than diminish of ungodliness, will find itself under the possible judgment of God, losing its once blessed status, unless repentance and change, comes into the forefront as in the case of the city of Nineveh (Jonah 3:10).
The greatness of a nation is not based on earthly gains but that of a heavenly nature. It is devastating to see acceptance of ungodliness openly flaunted before all. The moral guidelines that keeps a nation afloat are being recklessly cast aside; with the moral climate deteriorating.
Scripture gives a recipe towards overcoming immoral behavior: Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof (Romans 13:14). Awake to righteousness, and sin not (1 Corinthians 15:34). One man said: To give a man knowledge of true morality, I will send him to no other book than the New Testament (John Locke).

Voices of dissension are becoming more vocal in nature; outrageous in demands, with little forethought of the results as long as one's selfish ambitions are met.
Youth of today without Bible knowledge, or conviction, can readily be influenced by an immoral society of ungodly content.
Destitute of the truth is referenced in God's Word; as well as an astounding number of references to reasons for one's speaking the truth.
Fragile morality is a result of consumption of ungodliness in once godly societies. In the late 19th century the concept of morality warned due to secularization.
