Product of the world are those who have become addicted to sin and wickedness through various means made available. Scripture reveals: Set your affections (or mind) on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Many have become immersed in, and under the power of, the ungodliness of man.
We are seeing ungodliness running rampant; with many not understanding why. They do not realize that they are the product of a worldly environment; being under ungodly influences, through various means, used as Satan's tools of deception to mold one into his influence.
Scripture reveals: You adulterers and adulteresses, know not that the friendship of (or with) the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will (or wants to) be a friend of the world is (or makes himself) the enemy of God (James 4:4).
A Bible commentary noted: As Israel was a spiritual adulteress, unfaithful to God, so the church is a spiritual adulteress when she is unfaithful to Christ. One cannot be a lover of God and a lover of the world.
The product of the world is evidenced by humanity being caught up in characteristics of the works of the flesh (or sinfulness) mentioned in God's Word: Adultery, fornication (sex outside biblical marriage), uncleanness, lasciviousness (or immorality), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (or contentions), emulations (or jealousies), wrath, strife, sedition (or dissensions), heresies.
Envying, murders, drunkenness, revelings, and such like: of the which I (or Apostle Paul) tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21).
The believer in Christ is to possess the fruit of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness (or kindness), goodness, faith (or faithfulness), meekness, and temperance (or self-control): against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23). Such an individual is not the product of the world but of God! Those who are caught up in the characteristics of the world; and its ungodliness, need to come to the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Scripture reveals: Flee youthful lusts; but follow (or pursue) righteousness, faith, charity (or love), peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22). This know also, that in the last days (which we are in) perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1).
Men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous (or money lovers), boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (or without self-control), fierce (or brutal), despisers of those that are good.
Traitors, heady (or reckless), high-minded , lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (2 Timothy 3:2-5). A form of godliness is mere religion without power or spiritual life.
We are seeing the flood gates of Hell open to receive those who would come into its grip, being influenced by worldliness that has engulfed many a nation. The characteristics of the last days are in abundance with the seed of righteousness being pushed aside; even by the church in many cases.
There is a demonic influence that has infiltrated the lives of many. Satan knows that he has but a short while and is wreaking havoc in these last days. We are seeing hideous practices being performed, under the influence of his devilment, by those who have become a product of the world and not of God!
Many, in this world are addicted to sin, and wickedness, giving themselves over to it, being immersed in it, and under the power of it. There are electronic devices that add flavoring; in many nations, even in the church, towards consuming ungodliness that flows freely at the touch of a button.
Such electronic devices can be of value, when properly used, but can become of a harmful influence also by helping introduce worldliness, and ungodliness, into one's field of perception. Scripture reveals: Let their light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16). When one allows worldliness, or ungodliness, to take hold; it weakens their relationship with God, and being a light to others.
Scripture reveals the state of man prior to the return of Christ: As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man (or the Lord's coming): They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built: but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even so shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed (Luke 17:26-30).
Life went on as the people ignored the warnings of God's Watchmen thus being caught up in God's wrath and judgment! The product of the world; a cultivation of a worldly lifestyle, the sinfulness of man, the acclaim of such a life, is very much prevalent in these latter days.
Scripture reveals: You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost his savior (or flavor), wherewith (or by what) shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men (Matthew 5:13).
A bible commentary noted: You are indicates that only the genuine born-again believer is salt and can help meet the needs of the world. Salt adds flavoring, acts as preservative, melt coldness, and heals wounds. This is a very appropriate description of the believer in Christ in their relationship to the world.
Such are no longer a product of the world but of a godly nature; who live in the world but are not to be attached to it, in the same manner as a non-believer.
