Is it not time to vacate a life that has been out of tune to God's Word and to "Tune in" to "What Thus Saith the Lord?" America, as well as many other nations, are experiencing hatred and false accusers who rise up with an ugliness that leaves scars on the lives of many. Many lives are being destroyed because of mistrust, accusations being readily tossed about without proof, resulting in once highly respected individuals no longer bearing such a distinction.
There is a viciousness that seemingly makes reconciliation impossible. The mainstream media, and social media, help promote this hatred leaving many to wonder as to the truth. Is it not time to vacate such ungodly traits and allow the peace of God to rule in hearts and lives as originally intended?
Scripture informs us that in the last days perilous times shall come (2 Timothy 3:1). It states what will take place in the final days of the church age: Men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, unthankful, unholy; lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:2-5).
Scripture further reveals a time when many will draw near to the Lord with their mouth, with their lips honoring Him, but their heart far from Him (Isaiah 29:13). This opens the door for all manner of evil to enter in. We are seeing a world torn apart with the ungodly traits.
Scripture gives a warning about entangling oneself with the affairs of this life (2 Timothy 2:4); which is easily done, if allowed. It gives some personal advice in stating: Strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of hearers (2 Timothy 2:14). Who concerning the truth have erred (2 Timothy 2:18).
Words that attack the very core of individual lives; are often spoken as truth with no evidence; slanders of individual lives without mercy or proof.
We live in a world that has come under the influence of the ungodly. Laws and judicial rulings are being made to oblige the ungodliness of man. The media enhances such a concept by sympathetically helping promote continuation; and helping to influence acceptability.
One cannot play with sin and expect to see it diminish or come to nought. God's Word readily condemns sin and the unrighteousness of man (Romans 1:18). God provided His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to free us from the grip of sin; but one has to come in an attitude of repentance to receive what has been provided.
The time to vacate the sinful nature of man is now; for tomorrow may be too late. Simply ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart and life; ask for the forgiveness of your sins, and believe what God's Word says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Scripture informs us: Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding shall guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
The peace of God mentioned is the tranquility of mind that frees the believer from fear and worry. The peace which passes all understanding is divinely bestowed in times of anxiety; so wonderful that it exceeds one's ability to understand. To keep that peace, one must occupy their minds with godly things and attitudes.
