VULNERABLE TO EVIL
INFLUENCES

By Roy Burner - Minister of the Gospel

INTRODUCTION

Vulnerable to evil influences is a trend that is growing in a society that is fast becoming pagan in nature.  There is little or no religion when one's delight is in sensual pleasures rather than pursing a godly path.

On the Webpage Vision from God are these words:  My people are not seeking Me like they use too and are letting the storms of life and the things of the world draw them further from me.  (Comment)

Vulnerable to Evil Influences - Shipwrecked Faith

Scripture encourages the believer in Christ to hold fast to faith, with a good conscience; which some having put away have made shipwreck (1 Timothy 1:19).  Holding fast to one's faith means to maintain one's confidence in God

Becoming shipwrecked is rejection of the inner moral voice of conscience; being swayed from the truth of God's Word.  One's moral compass then points in the wrong direction; no longer sensitive to the guiding principles of God's Word or Spirit, and making way for being vulnerable to the evil influences that dominate today's society.

Opposition to the Things of God

As vulnerable to evil influences becomes more prominent; its advocates will continue to be in opposition towards the things of God, that would expose their evil deeds (John 3:20).

The apostle Paul informed Timothy, a young evangelist, that evil men, and seducers shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.  But to continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of; knowing of whom you have learned them (2 Timothy 3:13-14).

Vulnerability to Invasion

There is concern of a nation's being vulnerability to invasion from those outside its borders; when the greatest danger should be the evil influences from within that have already invaded the land.  They have become so numerous and acceptable that it is as a cancerous growth that continues in its destructive path.

Vulnerable to evil influences is not only geared towards adults in what they have allowed their mind to consume; but also in the youth of the land being fed ungodly content that would pollute the mind, rather than godly knowledge that would enhance life.

Ongoing Sin Movement

America, and other once godly nations have an ongoing sin movement that is being promoted by the LGBT community towards a homosexual lifestyle condemned in God's Word, same sex marriage, acts of immorality, even promoting a transgender movement that questions the God-given gender identity at one's birth.

These are direct violations of the biblical truths of God's Word.  Many have allowed, and even accommodated, ungodly lifestyles to rise virtually unopposed in the land.  Laws and judicial rulings have been made to enhance such lifestyles.

It is not only the LGBT movement; but persons of fame who openly endorse ungodly lifestyles; even indulging in such themselves.

Many Becoming Enslaved

We are seeing evilness of man rise to an alarming display of ungodliness; immorality that should raise the eyebrows of many, but does not.  Many have become immune to the righteousness of God; and have become enslaved to devices that bring sin and ungodly content into focus.

There is a consumption of sin that has far exceeded that of Sodom and Gomorrah which God destroyed as an example to them that afterward should life ungodly (2 Peter 2:6).   Many are embracing the sinful nature of man without a clue of its destructive nature.

Allowing God's Protective Hedge to be Lowered

Vulnerable to evil influences comes when one allows the protective hedge of God to be lowered (Isaiah 5:5); through their own sinful lifestyles, and not grasping hold of the Word of God.

It as been stated that B I B L E stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.  And it truly is; if one is willing to abide by its instructions, live a godly life in Christ Jesus, through God's Word and Spirit; and endure unto the end (Matthew 24:13).

Being Made Free from the Bondage of Sin

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Being made free from sin, we become servants to God, and have our fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life (Romans 6:22-23).

The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).  We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: who is the propitiation (or atonement) for our sins (1 John 2:1-2).
