CHANGING OF THE SEASON
INTRODUCTION
Changing of the season is prompted by circumstances and of ingathering of information which is influential in changing one’s viewpoint or stand towards a given agenda. We are witnessing a powerful influence never utilized as a tool in the earlier days of gathering of information which is the Internet, and other venues, which can be beneficial or detrimental.
Changing of the season is being achieved through mainstream and social media; which oftentimes is politically motivated rather than unbiased reporting. In many instances there is a far left agenda being pursued, destructive in nature, but being formulated as beneficial to society.
Changing of the season is being enhanced by those who are fueling resources, such as Marxism and Socialism, cousins of Communism, to gain control and destroy Capitalism and all freedoms associated with it. Apostle Paul gave warning of swallowing every ill-conceived thought, in writing: Let us not sleep, as do others, but let us watch and be sober (aware) (1 Thessalonians 5:6)

Gaining Desired Territory
Change is to alter or make different; to become tinted from a state of purity. Season could be rendered as more agreeable, to distinguish the season by an appropriate name; to give relish by something that excites, more agreeable, less rigorous and severe. We are witnessing the fruition of such a concept. The more common use of the term “changing of the season” is that which God created for mankind; the four seasons of the year: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
It was noted that one is not to take a fence down until you know the reason why it was put up (G. K. Chesterton). In the changing of the season the pursuit of liberty and justice is often given little thought in the powerful drive towards gaining desired territory, and little consideration towards the fence being taken down.
Tearing Down of Strongholds
Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Marxist noted why, as far as Marxism is concerned, the changing of season becomes necessary and how it is to be accomplished: He stated: Any country grounded in Christian values cannot be overthrown until those roots are cut; to change culture, a long march through the institutions is necessary.
Socialism, kin to Marxism and Communism, must overcome Christianity. In the New Order (changing of the season), socialism will triumph by first capturing the culture via infiltration (which we are witnessing) of schools, universities, churches and the media to transform the consciousness of society. What comes to pass is not so much because of a few people want it to happen, but because of citizens who abdicate their responsibility and allow it to take place.
We are witnessing many nations, once under godly influence; making allowance for the growth of ungodly venues to take root, rather than being rooting out. We are witnessing the influence of Marxism and Socialism; first moving deceptively, then more openly, with the changing of the season possibility for those seeking to maintain democracy and allegiance to God. Thank God for individuals who are willing to openly oppose such by standing firm in their commitment to God and country.
Influence of the Church
Change of the season was noted in that we are living in a very permissive day when the religious world is so tolerant to most any and all kinds of standards and lifestyles. It was noted that this permissiveness and tolerance is the result of a self-willed and carnal minded society.
As a result of such tolerance and permissiveness, there are many churches, and even denominations, which have altered their teachings, their standards, and even their interpretations of the Scriptures to please, to comply with and accommodate this permissive and tolerant society. Very few people this day hold to their heart’s convictions; they change to blend in with their environment.
Changing of the season was noted in the fact that we live in a fallen world that seeks to gratify and accommodate sinful lifestyles that would not have been discussed in public before. There are congregations and denominations that advocate homosexual and transgender acceptance, that refuse to adhere to any Biblical prohibitions against such activity as being cultural and not a commandment.
Scriptural Reference to
Change
Scriptural reference towards not changing of the season is found in God’s Word: Fear the Lord; and meddle (do not associate) with them that are given to change; for their calamity shall rise sudden; and who knows the ruin of them both (Proverbs 24:21-22). One such calamity was noted in the fall of Babylon, the hold of every foul spirit (Revelation 18:2); whose destruction (God’s judgment) would come in one day (Revelation 18:8).
The Prophet Hosea, in speaking the words of the Lord, revealed: As they were increased, so they sinned against me; therefore will I change their glory to shame (Hosea 4:7). It is sad to witness the downfall of a once great nation; who stood steadfast upon God’s Word, but has allowed deterioration from within. Jesus spoke of pollution from within, saying: Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, you are like white (whitewashed) sepulchers (tombs), which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones and of all uncleanness (Matthew 25:27).
One may be deceived by what is being proclaimed; which bears resemblance towards being right and just, when in reality it is of a different nature. It is easy to jump on the bandwagon of acceptability before examining the true motive of what is being promoted. We live in a world of deception, with just enough truth implanted to make it appear a righteous and just cause.
Way of Thinking
Changing of the season (one’s way of thinking) often causes friction, chaos, and confusion (the goal of some), with its popularity dominating the scene, outweighing sound reasoning, being embracing and its deceptive practices being consumed. The fostering of misinformation has been greatly enhanced, and swallowed, especially by those who fosters away from the truth, giving allegiance to acceptance perceived as truth.
Apostle Peter wrote: Many shall follow their pernicious (destructive) ways; by reason of which the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. Through covetousness shall they with feigned (deceptive) words make (exploit) merchandise of you; whose judgment now of long time lingers not (has not been idle), and their damnation (destruction) slumbers not (2 Peter 2:2-3). Scripture reveals: It is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27); which stresses the certainty of man’s future judgment.
Midst of Deception
We are witnessing deception (changing of the season) being promulgated towards political, personal, through domination by others. We are witnessing a world walking away from a former godly nature towards a demonic and unfruitful walk of darkness (sinfulness), with the light of the glorious gospel of Christ not shining forth as before.
Apostle Paul wrote: If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (perishing); in whom the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). Apostle Paul noted that such are so controlled by Satan, through the allurements of things of this world, that he effectively shields them from the light of the glorious gospel of Christ.
There are those who seek to diminish the effect of the Gospel message but Jesus spoke to Peter, representative of the church: I say to you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock (foundation) I will build my church: and the gates of hell (opposition) shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:17).
God Given Knowledge
The Prophet Daniel wrote: He (God) changes the times and the seasons; he removes kings, and sets (raises) up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to them that know (have) understanding (Daniel 2:21). If there be a changing of the season let God be the one; He is an all knowing God who is aware of all which transpires.
The Psalmist bears this out: Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. The Lord looks down from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men. From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth (Psalm 33:12-14). The eyes of the Lord are upon them that hope in his mercy (Psalm 33:18). We serve an all-knowing God, who imparts knowledge through His Word, to the one who will receive and acknowledge His sovereign.
Mercy of God
There is the changing of the season for those who allow the mercy of God to pave the way of salvation through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Scripture reveals: God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
Apostle John wrote: He that believes on the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ) has everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life (a heavenly abode); but the wrath of God (eternity in Hell) abides (remains) on him (John 3:36). Apostle Paul wrote: Whosesoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
