A pathway to destruction is an uncaring society consumed with its own self-interests; with a lack of familiarization of current events, unless they directly affect one’s personal life!
There is a gullibility of acceptance through ignorance in believing everything is true; as received through social media, internet, popular personalities, or the mainstream media. Deception, with just enough truth to invite acceptability, has become the norm.
A pathway to destruction is in allowing Marxism and Socialism, cousins of Communism, to invade the land; ushering out democracy and basic freedoms presently enjoyed. A few elite individuals are seeking to gain power to enrich their own lives rather than a healthy environment for others.
The goal is to destroy the middle class, obtain power, create a permanent welfare state and create total dependence on the government. Marxism and Socialism is being embraced as a beneficial tool towards one’s own gain; but when realization comes as to its true merit, it is often too late to break free!
A pathway to destruction is through an organization that is making its intentions openly known; titled the World Economic Forum (WEF), founded in 1971. It was noted that WEF has built a vast international network of state and corporate leaders.
Its goal is to change the world according to its vision; to use its global influence to improve the state of the world by fostering increased integration between governments, corporations, with the future of a new global system equipped to handle the dynamics of the 21st century.
Its promotion sounds reasonable enough to those captivated by its agenda; however, its goal is to dominate all aspects of life on earth, through what is called “The Great Reset” plan which seeks to eliminate free market capitalism and control every aspect of a once free society!
Scripture reveals: When your fear (terror) comes as desolation (storm), and your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish comes upon you (by allowing a pathway to destruction to take root), then shall they call upon me (God), but I will not answer, they shall seek me early (diligently), but they shall not find me; for they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:27-28).
The Prophet Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, said: Come near, you nations, to hear; and hearken, you people; let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and the things that come forth of it. For the indignation of the Lord is upon all nations (those who refuse to acknowledge Him), and his fury upon all their armies; he has utterly destroyed them, he has delivered them to the slaughter (His wrath being unleashed) (Isaiah 34:1-2).
It was noted that the object of God’s wrath will be the nations, the earth, and the world; a worldwide carnage when God’s indignation and fury are poured out on all nations at the end of the Great Tribulation Period (revealed in the Book of Revelation), prior to establishment of a new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness (Revelation 3:13).
Apostle Peter reminds his readers (us as well) of the destructive power of God, in saying: Whereby the world that then was (pre-Flood days of Noah), being overflowed with water perished; but the heavens and the earth, which are now (this present day), by the same word (destructive power) are kept in store, reserved unto fire against (until) the Day of Judgment and perdition (destruction) of ungodly men (2 Peter 3:6-7).
Peter identified the reason for such being held in abeyance: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise (destruction of the ungodly), as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)!
God having power and authority to create also has power and authority to destroy that which He creates. It was noted that this was shown by the Flood (pre-Flood days of Noah); when humans become so evil, that every thought and imagination of the human mind and heart was only evil continually, God decided to destroy from the earth the humans He had created; to give life and take away life are both within God’s authority!
A pathway to destruction is noted in the things which will destroy us: Politics without principle; Pleasure without conscience; Business without morality; Science without humanity; and Worship without sacrifice (Author Unknown).
A pathway to destruction is in entertaining the ways of the ungodly; promoting and enhancing their productiveness, through ungodly characteristics foretold by the Prophet Isaiah and warned against: Woe to them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that but bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Woe to them that are wise in their own eyes and prudent in their own sight (Isaiah 5:20-21); which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him (Isaiah 5:23). There was a time when righteousness prevailed; but allowance was made to accommodate the wickedness of the land, openly inviting a pathway to destruction to take root!
Apostle Paul wrote: In the last days (which we are in) perilous times shall come; all who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Evil men, and seducers, shall wax (grow) worse and worse deceiving and being deceived (a pathway to destruction) (2 Timothy 3:12-13).
Some characteristics of the last days: Men shall be lovers of their own selves, proud, unthankful, unholy, false accusers, despisers of those that are good (the godly), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, and having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof (2 Timothy 3:2-5).
A form of godliness is mere religion without power or spiritual life; a status, unfortunately, that some churches have adopted; by failing to uphold the Unadulterated (Pure) Word of God, without compromise!
Prophet Malachi, in speaking the words of the Lord, revealed a pathway to destruction, in saying: Behold, the day comes that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble; and the day that comes shall burn them up, saith the Lord, that it shall leave them neither root, nor branch (Malachi 4:1).
Scripture gives the result of a pathway to destruction being followed: There is a way which seems right to a man; but the end thereof is the ways of death (both spiritual and physical) (Proverbs 14:12). Jesus gave an alternative: Enter you in at the strait gave (the way of life); for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be that go therein (Matthew 7:13).
Apostle Peter noted: The Day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night (totally unexpected by some); in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversion (conduct) and godliness (2 Peter 3:10-11).
Nevertheless we (believers in Christ), according to his promise look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness (as previously mentioned) (2 Peter 3:13). Peter concluded with: Seeing that you (the believer) know these things before (beforehand), beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked (a pathway to destruction), fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:17-18).
Apostle Paul wrote: Being made free from sin, you become the servants (followers) of God, and have your fruit (reward) unto holiness, and the end everlasting life; for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:22-23).
Scripture reveals: God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). He that believes on the Son has everlasting life; and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides (remains) on Him (John 3:36).
