A time of uncertainty can be ascertained on a global scale with perplexity as to what lies ahead in a troubled world, when looking to man as one’s Savior, while overlooking the fact that God is our Benefactor, through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Apostle Paul wrote: We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast (struck) down, but not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). There is an evilness arising that is bringing in a time of anxiousness to those not looking to the real Peace-giver.
Jesus said: Peace, I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). Apostle Paul wrote: The peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep (guard) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The peace of God is tranquility of mind freeing the believer from fear and worry.
A time of uncertainty has led many to take their eyes off the only true source of comfort with a pathway of peace as the enemy of one’s soul (Satan and his cohorts) seek to capture one’s attention through the allurement of worldly entertainment, appeasement of the flesh, rather than a godly pursuit. The opening of such an avenue is greatly enhanced by an electronic age that was created for the betterment of mankind but has become a tool of Satan towards promotion of ungodly agenda.
The internet has become the avenue by which many seek information rather than reliably sources; social media is lined with bias views, helping to distort the truth, with the ungodly benefiting by its use as a tool towards promoting ungodliness rather than godly influence.
Jesus said there would be a time of uncertainty; a time of religious deception, political unrest, natural disasters, wars, and persecution of believers; because iniquity (lawlessness) shall abound, the love of many shall wax (grow) cold; but he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved (Matthew 24:12-13).
A time of uncertainty can take one’s eyes off the Lord; seeking man as the source or solution, when in reality there is only one Peace-giver able to control the hand of fate, offering an eternal solution rather than that of a temporary nature.
A time of uncertainty may occur when one hears what is happening on a global scale, through reporting wars, disasters, and the woes of mankind being unleashed.
Jesus said: There shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea, and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after the things coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken (Luke 22:25-26).

Apostle Peter wrote: Whereby the world that then was (pre-Flood days of Noah), being overflowed with water perished; but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word, are kept in store (reserved) unto fire against (until) the day of judgment and perdition (destruction) of ungodly men (2 Peter 3:6-7).
Peter gave reason as to why such destruction has yet to unfold: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise (destruction of the wicked), as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night (totally unexpected by some); in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements therein shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also, and the works that are therein shall be burned up (2 Peter 3:9-10).
A time of uncertainty has been replaced by assurance, to the believer in Christ. Apostle Peter wrote: Nevertheless we (the believers) according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness (a far cry from what we are experiencing today). Wherefore, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot (sin), and blameless (2 Peter 3:13-14).
Peter than issued a warning: Beware lest you also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness (faithfulness), but grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:17). A time of uncertainty is replaced with certainty through salvation of the soul, upon acceptance of Christ into one’s heart and life.
Despite all the promises of God’s Word towards eternal peace; man continues towards a time of uncertainty in witnessing daily events unfolding that are far from peace. There are those who are seeking to dominate the world, with force if necessary, or by promising what they cannot deliver.
Sin is being promoted as pleasure and desirable, while the Word of God is less of an influence, when man embraces worldly attributes that draws one further from God. Many in the church, and previously godly nations, are being deceived into acceptance through embracing secular values rather than adherence to the Unadulterated (Pure) Word of God.

The Prophet Amos revealed a time that the fruit of righteousness would be turned into hemlock (Amos 6:12); the word hemlock refers to a plant that poison is derived from. Poison infects or pollutes the body until injury, illness, or death results. We have witnessed a massing of evilness seeking to outweigh the righteousness of God.
Godly leadership is being replaced, in many instances, by ungodly men and women promoting unrighteousness; even brining forth rulings and laws to help promote their agenda; when in reality it is an abomination in the sight of God. Thank God, for individuals, leadership and otherwise, who openly oppose such, and expose the unfruitful works of darkness.
The destiny of nations is still in the hands of a sovereign God. Sin shortens the existence of both governments and individuals. It was noted that unless we heed the lessons of history, a calamity can come upon us as suddenly and even more devastating than came to the God-defying Belshazzar and his drunken associates who were weighed in the balance and found wanting (Daniel 5:26-28).
Have we, as a nation or individual, been weighed in the balance and found wanting by pursuing a pathway contrary to God’s Word? Have we embraced the sinfulness of mankind through the acceptance of adulterous ways being promoted? If so, God offered a solution though His Word.
Scripture reveals: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14). It was noted that while this promise was originally given to King Solomon, regarding the people of Israel, it is applicable to all who will call on the Lord in repentance and faith.
A time of uncertainty is being promulgated through electronic means that display a global picture of daily occurrences; it will be the same when a report of God’s destructive nature towards the world of the ungodly; even up to its final demise. I believe, as man withdraws from God’s umbrella of protection and provision, through acceptance of ungodly ways, partial judgments will be forthcoming as a prelude towards repentance.
It is God’s desire that Nineveh type repentance take place rather than judgment being unleashed. Scripture reveals: Jonah, (a prophet of God) went to Nineveh, in speaking the Word of the Lord, cried out: Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown (destroyed) (Jonah 3:4). Nineveh’s response is what God seeks from any who have withdrawn from Him.
Scripture reveals: The people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth (a sign of repentance) from the greatest of them, even to the least of them (Jonah 3:5). God saw their works (repentance) that they turned from their evil way; and God repented (relented) of the evil, that he said he would do to them, and did it not (Jonah 3:10).
A time of uncertainty does not have to captivate one’s mind. Scripture reveals: God so loved the world (you and I), that he gave his only begotten Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), that whosoever believed in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
He that believes on him is not condemned; but he that believes not is condemned already, because has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God (John 3:18). Pray that one will receive saving of the soul (eternity in a heavenly abode), rather confinement in the place called Hell, (eternal abode of the unbelieving).
