THE REVAMPING OF
SOCIETY

The-Revamping-of-Society

INTRODUCTION

The revamping of society is a change or alteration of the social order of a society which may include changes in social institutions, social behaviors or social relations. Sustained at a larger scale, it may lead to social transformation; through such names as Socialism and Marxism, cousins to Communism; Critical Race Theory (CRT), the Great Reset Plan, instituted by the World Economic Forum; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Transformation; to name but a few.

Goals include: Discredit family as an institution; control of schools to use as tools for promoting their agenda; break down cultural standards towards a socialistic society; infiltrate the press, gain control of key positions in government, radio, TV, and motion pictures; infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with social religion.

The Revamping of Society
Failure to Promote Godliness

We are witnessing perilous times due to walking away from the precepts of the Unadulterated (Pure) Word of God; failing to promote godliness as before.  It was noted we are living in a very permissive day when the religious world is so tolerant to most any and all kinds of standards and lifestyles. It was noted that this permissiveness and tolerance is the result of a self-willed and carnal minded society

As a result of such tolerance and permissiveness, there are many churches, and even denominations, which have altered their teachings, their standards, and even their interpretations of the Scriptures to please, to comply with and accommodate this permissive and tolerant society. Very few people this day hold to their heart’s convictions; they change to blend in with their environment.

Social and Moral Behavior

Identifying of the entirety of God’s Word is not popular; neither was it in the days of the Old Testament prophets, such as Jeremiah. It was noted that it had to be difficult for Jeremiah always having to be the bearer of bad news, and always being rejected.  Jeremiah was continually mocked by the people for bringing nothing but words of condemnation.

Jeremiah's words enraged the people.  He challenged their social and moral behavior.  He held his ground and was not afraid to give them unpopular criticism.  Today there are those who are giving humanity's vilest nature what they want to hear, justification to do exactly as they please with no regard to a day of reckoning, with few Jeremiah’s exposing such atrocities.

No Shame

The revamping of society, to suit man, often brings popularity to those promoting its advancement.  We are living in a period of time proclaimed by Jeremiah, in speaking the words of the Lord: Were they ashamed when they committed abomination, no they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush, therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time I visit (punish) them they shall be cast down, saith the Lord.

Stand you in the ways, and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls; but they said, we will not walk therein.  Also I set watchmen over you, saying, hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said we will not hearken (Jeremiah 6:15-17).

The revamping of society has enlarged the capacity towards ungodliness being accepted, with no regard towards the consequence for having done so.  Jeremiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, identified the consequence: Hear, O earth; behold, I will bring evil (calamity) upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts because they have not hearkened to my words, nor to my law, but rejected it (Jeremiah 6:19).

Turning from Truth

Discernment-of-Perilous-Times

Apostle Paul declared the revamping of society to Timothy, a young evangelist: The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts (desires) they shall heap to themselves teachers; having itching ears shall turn their ears (hearing) from the truth and shall be turned into fables (that which is factitious) (2 Timothy 4:2-4).  It was noted that teachers who appeal to itching ears tell people what they need to hear, what they need to hear.

Apostle Paul instructed Timothy: Preach the word; be instant (ready) in season, and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2); watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry (2 Timothy 4:5).  It was noted that preaching is the God-ordained remains to prevent defection from the truth.

Perverse Generation

Apostle Peter, on the day of Pentecost, warned against social evils, in saying: Save yourselves from this untoward (crooked) generation (Acts 2:40).  It was noted that Peter was warning of a perverse generation; to separate from such, do not partake of their evil ways, but rather come out from among them.  Many today would lead one astray; if they are not grounded in God’s Word.

God has provided His Spirit to lead and guide in all truth.  Jesus said: You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Man has evolved into a mold of acceptance of the previously unacceptable; deceiving many into believing a lie rather than the truth; with just enough truth to camouflage its deceptive nature.

Fate of the Ungodly

The Prophet Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, proclaimed: Hell has enlarged herself, and opened her mouth (a bottomless pit) without measure; and their (the ungodly) glory and their pomp, and he that rejoices shall descend into it (Isaiah 5:14).

Apostle John noted the fate of the ungodly: I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works (Revelation 20:12); whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire (Hell) (Revelation  20:15).

It was noted that the dead are judged from two sets of books.  The books contain the record of every unsaved person which clearly shows that each one is a guilty sinner deserving a place in Hell. The Book of Life contains the name of every person who has received eternal life through faith.  The choice is up to each individual as to where their final destiny will be.

Deception at Hand

Lack-of-Godly-Influence

There is a Heaven to gain (through Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior) and a Hell to shun.  Apostle Peter warned: Beware lest you, being led away by the influence of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness (2 Peter 3:17). Deception begin in the Garden of Eden, in the form of a serpent (Satan’s tool of deception), who made the forbidden fruit appealing enough for Adam and Eve to become disobedient to God’s Word.

Scripture reveals: When the woman (Eve) saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also to her husband with her (Adam); and he did eat (Genesis 3:6).

Satan is still active today to take as many with him as possible, to the place called Hell, which will one day be his final resting place (Revelation 20:10).  Apostle Peter gave warning: Be sober (aware); because your adversary (enemy) the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour (entice) (1 Peter 5:8).

Pathway to Eternal Life

Scripture reveals: God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).  This is the condemnation, that light (the Lord Jesus Christ) is come into the world, and men loved darkness (sinful attributes) rather than light, because their deeds were evil (sinful) (John 3:19).

Apostle John wrote: He that believes on the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ) has everlasting life (a heavenly abode); and he that believes not the Son shall no see life; but the wrath of God abides (remains) on him (John 3:36).

Apostle Paul wrote: The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).  Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Final Resting Place

As previously stated, one’s final resting place, after this life, is up to each individual. Scripture reveals: It is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

The revamping of society often fails to stress the certainty of man’s future judgment although confirmed in God's Word.  There is no reincarnation; every person has one chance to prepare while here upon this earth.  I pray, if you have not already done so, will make a decision towards salvation of the soul through Jesus becoming your Lord and Savior.
