Growing trends of today include walking away from godly traits of the past with little or no recognition given towards their continuation. There is an ongoing battle between good and evil as prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah: Woe to them that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter and prudent in their own sight; which justify the wicked for reward and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him (Isaiah 5:23).
Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, further revealed the results of being in the grip of ungodliness: As the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff (that which remains), so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have cast away the word of the Lord (Isaiah 5:24). Growing trends of today embraces what Isaiah warned against and unless reckoned with could lead to judgment.

Attraction of Ungodly Influences
Growing trends of today include influence rising from such names as Socialism and Marxism, cousins to Communism; Critical Race Theory (CRT), the Great Reset Plan, instituted by the World Economic Forum; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Transformation; to name but a few, that would upset the normality of life.
Goals include: Discredit family as an institution; control of the schools to use as tools for promoting ungodly agenda; eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them violation of free speech and free press; break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography in books, magazines, motion pictures, and TV; promote homosexuality as normal, natural, healthy; infiltrate the press, gain control of key positions in government, radio, TV, and motion pictures; infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with a progressive social religion, and discredit the Bible.
Growing trends of today include the rising up of Democratic Socialists; along with the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) organization which functions as a multi-tendency left-wing activist organization. It is the largest socialist activist organization in America. Instead of running its own separate ballot line; with its members being endorsed candidates within the Democratic Party. We are witnessing continued influences (both at home and abroad) that would encroach on basic freedoms as we know them today.

Intelligence (AI)
Growing trends of today include Artificial Intelligence (AI); a computer technology that allows machines to solve problems like a human. AI can process, analyze, and compute massive datasets at speeds and scales that are physically impossible for humans. It was noted that AI is a complex tool with both significant benefits and serious risks, making it a mixed bag rather than purely good or bad and should be treated with caution.
The Bible does not explicitly mention artificial intelligence because it was written long before the era of computers. However, users generally agree that Scripture provides timeless principles on human creation, wisdom, and tools that could be tampered with through AI rather than upheld. Many believers view AI could be used like a hammer or fire, depending on how humans utilize it, noting boundaries and risks that should be taken into consideration.
Capture Mind of
Our Youth
Growing tends of today include an attempt to capture the minds of the youth. Vladimir R. Lenin, Founder of the Soviet Union, declared: Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted. We are witnessing steps being taken to exploit the youth starting at a tender young age, a more teachable moment, being targeted with indoctrination. We are witnessing this in many countries that are implanting their ideology into the minds of the youth.
Growing trends of today at one time would not have been allowed to infiltrate the land; but being promoted due to a cultural shift of today. We are witnessing a minority paving the way for the majority. There is a progressive social change attempting to uproot previously established ways with the youth as the main target of promotion.
Global Domination
Growing tends of today include an attempt to devour other lands towards global domination. There is a power struggle that attempts to in swallow up lesser forces of opposition threatening freedoms enjoyed. A biblical example is in the days of King Saul when the Philistines sought to conquer and enslave the people of Israel. The force utilized to control was the giant Goliath winning in battle over Israel’s man of the hour.
David, through the help of the Lord, was victorious over the giant and slew him thus saving Israel from being in bondage (slaves) to the Philistines (1 Samuel 17:49). The struggle to maintain freedom was won through God’s providence; the same can happen to any godly nation, or individual, who will put their faith and trust in God.
Political Disarray
Growing trends of today include political disarray in many lands; with unity being abandoned rather than clung too. Jesus said: If a kingdom be divided against itself, that house cannot stand (Mark 3:24-25). The Psalmist David wrote: How good and how pleasant it is for brethren (brotherhood) to dwell together in unity (Psalm 133:1). However, there is a growing tendency towards power and control that does little to maintain unity but rather division.
Apostle Paul warned against unity not prevailing: If you bite and devour one another, take heed that you be not consume one of another (Galatians 5:15). It was noted that Paul was giving reference to controversies that surfaced bitterness, contention, threatening division, scandalous invectives and injurious actions, rather than peaceful unity prevailing. Growing tends of today is political disarray that accomplish nothing but chaos while unity enhances and strengthens.
On June 18, 1787, the Constitutional Convention was deadlocked in a bitter controversy. Benjamin Franklin, made the following plea to the delegates noted: We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that “except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it.” I therefore beg leave to move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessing in our deliberations, be held in this Assembly before we proceed in business. Let Freedom Reign
Growing trends of today include fighting for existence, with freedoms that are cherished being maintained; as the loss of those freedoms makes one realize how valuable they are. Freedom needs to be appreciated and nourished, not allowed to be undone by those who seek to control and dominate and to alleviate any opposition.
Franklin D. Roosevelt declared: If the fires of freedom and civil liberties burn low in other lands, they must be made brighter in our own. Unfortunately, the growing trends of today include the extinguishing of basic freedoms presently enjoyed. Harry S. Truman noted: Freedom is expensive. It costs money. It costs blood, it calls for courage and endurance, not only in soldiers, but in every man and woman who is free and who is determined to remain free.
An Inner Peace
Growing tends of today include rejection of the true source of peace. Jesus said: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world give, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid (John 14:27). It was noted that the peace Christ gives is true, solid, and substantial; the peace the world, the men, and things of such a nature, is a false one. The peace of the world if of an external but the peace of Christ is lasting and durable.
There are many today that have never tasted true peace, of an inner contentment, offered though Christ. Jesus invitation is extended to all: Come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (peace); take my yoke upon you and learn of (from) me; for I am meek and lowly (gentle and humble) in heart; and you shall find rest (peace) for your souls (Matthew 11:28-29).
Invitation Extended
Scripture reveals: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14). While this promise was originally given to King Solomon, regarding the people of Israel, it is applicable to all who will call on the Lord in repentance and faith. Growing tends of today should include this appeal towards all who have departed from the ways of the Lord.
Jesus, in speaking to the Laodicean church, extended this invitation: I stand at the door (that of one’s heart) and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door (only you can), I will come in to him, and will sup (fellowship) with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). This invitation could readily be applied to the unsaved as well; opening the door of salvation to the repentant in heart.
