AMERICA AT A CROSSROAD
INTRODUCTION
America at a crossroad symbolizes a critical juncture, a major choice, a point where a path must be chosen. In the Bible, crossroad serves as powerful symbols for making important decisions. The crossroad metaphor describes a critical point where a major decision must be made; standing at a crossroad means choosing one path over another, knowing that the final direction will completely change the future.
The Prophet Jeremiah said: Thus saith the Lord, stand you in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls, but they said, we will not walk therein (Jeremiah 6:16).
God tells His people to stop at the crossroad, look around, and ask for the old path to find peace; but the people refused to walk in the traditional ways of true righteousness; moving in their own paths, following their own way which would lead to destruction.
America at a Crossroad
Rising of Socialism and Marxism
There is an influence rising from Socialism and Marxism, cousins to Communism; Critical Race Theory (CRT), the Great Reset Plan, instituted by the World Economic Forum; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Transformation; to name but a few, that would upset the normality of life. Included in the spin-off of evil is a drive to maintain legalized abortion, homosexuality, same sex marriage, and transgenderism as a way of life.
Goals include: Discredit family as an institution; control of the schools to use as tools for promoting ungodly agenda; eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them violation of free speech and free press; break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography in books, magazines, motion pictures, and TV; infiltrate the press, gain control of key positions in government, radio, TV, and motion pictures; infiltrate the churches by introducing a progressive social religion, and discredit the Bible.
We are witnessing the rising up of Democratic Socialists; the Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) organization which functions as a multi-tendency left-wing activist organization. It is the largest socialist activist organization in America, with over 120,000 members. Instead of running its own separate ballot line; its members are endorsed candidates within the Democratic Party. America at a crossroad is a fact as we witness continued influences that would encroach on basic freedoms.
Attack from Within
We are witnessing a takeover of various areas of America, and other nations, through allowed wholehearted immigration, often illegal, of those who fail to assimilate into realm of accepting a nation, and its culture, of which they reside in; but through their collective location, and sheer numbers they gain control of key positions in all levels of government. We are witnessing the takeover of a nation’s freedoms and beliefs, to facilitate a desired way of life contrary to the one of the host nation. We are witnessing the livability of such action through utilizing the voting system of that nation with measurable results.
We are witnessing other measures being utilized to attack from within through purchase of land, gain usage of various outlets towards advancing their cause, attacking traditional ways of where they have chosen to reside in, plus numerous other methods to gain control and inject their poisonous influence. The influence may seem harmless until it grows as a cancer with the inability to countermand its effect.
The Prophet Amos revealed there will be a time that the fruit of righteousness will be turned into hemlock (Amos 6:12). It is interesting to note that the word hemlock refers to a plant that poison is derived from. Poison infects or pollutes the body until injury, illness, or death results. It can be of a harmful influence such as will ruin, taint, inhibit, or embitter. When this influence creeps into a nation, at first unnoticeable or not deemed a threat; it creates a chance of defeat of present culture, along with basic freedoms.
A Deceptive Spirit
America at a crossroad concept, along with other nations, has allowed a deceptive spirit to sweep through the land; along with a flood of ungodliness that washes away any opposition in its path. When there is a crumbling of godly values it allows those, attempting to spread their poisonous agenda, to succeed.
In the religious realm Apostle Peter wrote: There were false prophets also among the people even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily (secretly) shall bring in damnable (destructive) heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves, swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious (destructive) ways; by reason of which the way of truth shall be evil spoken of (2 Peter 2:1-2).
Is America at a crossroad, as well as other nations; if so, they need to decide which way they will go. Scripture reveals: There is a way which seems right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12). We are witnessing sweeping changes; not for the better, engulfing many nations, which would lead to the demise of basic freedoms that once prevailed. There is no room for God in the socialistic ways being presented, because adherence to God’s Word becomes a threat to their agenda.
A Different Harvest
Is America at a crossroad, as well as other once godly nations, in failing to keep God in the forefront by allowing ungodliness to coexist rather than rejected? Are we witnessing the taking away of the protective hedge mentioned in the Parable of the Vineyard? The Prophet Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, revealed how God had planted a vineyard in a very fruitful hill; he fenced it, and gathered (cleared) out the stones thereof, and planted it the choicest vine, and looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes (Isaiah 5:1-2).
Are we witnessing a similar occurrence? Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord noted: What could have been done more in my vineyard that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, it brought forth wild grapes (Isaiah 5:4). America, and other nations, who once stood on the Unadulterated (Pure) Word of God, even some of its churches, are witnessing a similar harvest that bears not the grapes God intended. There is a different agenda being presented, and accepted, rather than rejected.
God's Response to Wrong
Harvest
God’s response was making the Parable of the Vineyard into a Parable of Judgment: I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard; I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up (consumed) and break down the wall thereof (God’s protective hand), and it shall trodden (trampled) down. I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned, nor digged (God’s previous provision) but there shall come up briers and thorn. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it (Isaiah 5:5-6).
Has America, and other nations, made room for the Judgment of God to become a reality in allowing wild grapes (ungodly venues) to infiltrate the land rather than continued allegiance to God? Is the reality of the words prophesied by the Prophet Israel to the house of Israel, and the men of Judah, become a reality due to allowing ungodly influences to become acceptable rather than rejected?
Reaping What Has
Been Sown
What makes any nation think they can weigh in on a sinful nature and not be weighed in the balance and found wanting (Daniel 5:27)? Scripture reveals: Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. He that sows to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting (Galatians 6:7-8).
It was noted that sowing in the flesh means to conduct oneself by the evil dictates and desires of the sinful nature (allowing such to enter in), thus practicing the deeds of the flesh. Such a person shall reap corruption, that is be requited with eternal destruction (reaping the results of such). Sowing to Spirit means to live by God’s enabling help in accordance with the Spirit’s (Spirit of God) prompting and leading. Such a person shall reap life everlasting, that is, be rewarded with eternal life.
Space for Repentance
God though His mercy gives space for repentance. Apostle Paul wrote: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise (destruction of the ungodly), as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward (you and I), not willing that any should perish, but ALL should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9); unless having become so entrenched in the works of darkness (sinfulness) that they will not hear, or respond to God’s invitation.
God is not willing that any should perish clearly expresses His desire for salvation of all who will trust in Him. Is America at a crossroad (I firmly believe it is) then there is a need of repentance, with other nations as well who have placed themselves in the same position and require a Nineveh type repentance. Concerning Nineveh, which had repented, Scripture reveals: God saw their works, that they turned away from their evil (and adulterous) way; and God repented (relented) of the evil (destruction) that he had said he would do to them and he did it not (Jonah 3:10).
It was noted that God did not change in His ultimate intention toward the Ninevites; rather, they changed in their attitude toward Him. On the basis of that change, God could deal with them in grace, rather than in judgment as their failure to repent would have necessitated. The same opportunity is afforded to any nation, or individual, who responses in like manner. One needs to be careful as to what they allow themselves to be entertained with; but if caught up in the ungodly trend of today; need to come to the realization of such, and receive God’s hand of mercy extended towards salvation of the soul.
